Which tools do students use in the SAAI Research Program?

The technical toolset depends on the learner’s pathway and project, but students commonly work with Python and Jupyter notebooks for data exploration, model training and experiment documentation. They may use libraries for data processing, vectorisation, machine learning, evaluation and visualisation. GitHub can be used for version control and public project evidence. When the research output needs to become usable, students may create an API, dashboard or simple application and deploy it to an appropriate platform. Tools are introduced as parts of a reproducible workflow rather than as isolated software demonstrations. The learner should be able to explain what each tool contributes, how files and components connect, and how another person can run or inspect the work.
